(((CHAG SAMEACH YOM TERUAH!)) to ALL MANKIND and especially to those precious few who keep "THE SCRIPTURAL METHOD" utilizing the 'signs' of THE TWO GREAT LIGHTS for determining the appointed times, days and years of 'THE MASTER'S CLOCK!'
“Speak to the children of Yisra’ěl, saying, ‘In the seventh new moon, on the first day of the new moon, you have a rest, a remembrance of Teru‛ah, a set-apart gathering." (Leviticus 23:24 The Scriptures 2009)
The Jews have traditionally referred to Yom Teruah as 'the feast of which no man knows the day or the hour'. Why? Because it requires the sighting of the New Moon before Yom Teruah can be proclaimed, it is the only such moedim to have this peculiarity.
This fact gives us a basis for believing that when Messiah Yahusha spoke of His return in Matthew 24:36 saying...
“But concerning that day and the hour no one knows, not even the messengers of the heavens, but My Father only.”
... He was actually telling us exactly what day He would return! He was indeed using a Jewish figure of speech that clearly referred to Yom Teruah, a day of the year that no man knew until the New Moon was sighted! As for the hour of His return on Yom Teruah, that is left to His Father and ours. Be a wise virgin prepared with an ample supply of oil for your lamp, it could get to be a late night!
Here is a nugget that will add oil to your lamp. Earlier in Matthew 24:29 we're told...
“And immediately after the distress of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.”
While I give no thought to this darkening of the sun and moon having anything to do with either a Solar or Lunar Eclipse, which can only occur during a Dark Moon Conjunction or Full Moon respectively, I do find it extraordinarily interesting that the Greek word translated as "moon" is the word "selēnē", which means a moon with 'brilliancy' and or 'attractiveness'. It makes no sense if the moon has been darkened unless it is speaking of the phase of the moon. The most brilliant and attractive phase of the moon is by far the Full Moon! The darkening of a brilliant Full Moon would be the near equivalent of the darkening of the Sun. The Full Moon is a GREAT LIGHT that RULES THE NIGHT just as Genesis 1:14-16 tells us...
Gen 1:14 And Elohim said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years,
Gen 1:15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it came to be so.
Gen 1:16 And Elohim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night, and the stars.
Furthermore... the word 'signs' in verse 14 is translated from the Hebrew word 'ôth, which should be understood 'in the sense of appearing'. 'Ôth is used in verse 14 indiscriminately with no differentiation between either the 'sign' of the sun or that of the moon. Both the Sun and the Full Moon 'appear' above the eastern horizon to send forth their 'sign'!!! That's oil for your lamp wise virgin Brothers and Sisters!
Matthew 24:30 tells us of His return...
“And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem.” (Matthew 24:30 The Scriptures 2009)
With His return also comes the 1st Resurrection when the Elect will meet Him in the air...
“And He shall send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” (Matthew 24:31 The Scriptures 2009)
See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52 The Scriptures 2009)
For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep. Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 The Scriptures 2009)
With Yom Teruah in some future year Messiah Yahusha will begin to fulfill the Fall festivals, the appointed times, when He will proceed with the very structured, YAH ordained, method of taking a wife by means of a marriage covenant. And I guarantee you it's not what you think! We've got this wedding tradition all messed up!
At Yom Teruah He 'returns' for His Bride according to the timing of the Father.
At Yom Kippur He 'consummates' the Betrothal phase of those portending to be the Bride of the marriage covenant with a judgement that separates the obedient from the disobedient!
At Sukkot He 'binds' the marriage covenant of the obedient, faithful Bride, forever making her His wife, by drinking from the cup of the covenant during The Marriage Supper of The Lamb!
But what year will Messiah Yahusha return for His Bride? It may not be far off... many, including me, believe that Messiah Yahusha will return on a Jubilee Year. Messiah Yahusha appears to have proclaimed a Jubilee Year during His ministry nearly 2,000 years ago when He visited His home town synagogue and said...
“The Spirit of יהוה is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to bring the Good News to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away crushed ones with a release, to proclaim the acceptable year of יהוה.” (Luke 4:18-19 The Scriptures 2009)
Also in the Chronicles of St. Jerome 29 A.D. is claimed to have been a Jubilee Year, which reconciles well with claims of the last observed Jubilee Year to have fallen in the year 172 B.C. Will 2029 be the year of His return? We'll know soon enough, the 3.5 years of the Great Tribulation must come first beginning with the Great Earth Quake in the Spring of the year, at which time the Greater Exodus back to the Promised Land will also commence. Don't be caught off guard and fall for a false Messiah who comes on the scene at the same time or the expectation of a Pre-Trib Rapture!
I see others voicing similar predictions but siting His return in either 2027 or 2028 based on something Flavius Josephus may have written, but like I said, the beginning of the Great Tribulation with the Great Earthquake will begin our countdown to His eventual return. And if not in this 2027 to 2029 timeframe then all bets are off as far as I'm concerned, I won't expect it in my lifetime.
With the first of the Fall Festivals, Yom Teruah, Messiah Yahusha returns for His Bride! Fill your lamps oh wise virgin Bride!
“Blessed is He who is coming in the Name of יהוה!”
