(((CHAG SAMEACH YOM KIPPUR!))) to ALL MANKIND and especially to those precious few who keep "THE SCRIPTURAL METHOD" utilizing the 'signs' of THE TWO GREAT LIGHTS for determining the appointed times, days and years of 'THE MASTER'S CLOCK!'
And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
“On the tenth day of this seventh new moon is Yom haKippurim. It shall be a set-apart gathering for you. And you shall afflict your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה.
“And you do no work on that same day, for it is Yom Kippurim, to make atonement for you before יהוה your Elohim.
“For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.
“And any being who does any work on that same day, that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people.
“You do no work – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
‘It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the new moon at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath.” (Leviticus 23:26-32 The Scriptures 2009)
Last evening, on the 9th of the 7th New Moon (the 29th Day of September), the affliction of our physical beings was to begin. But why? If Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement or Day of Coverings is commanded to take place on the 10th Day of the 7th New Moon why does the fast begin on the evening of the 9th?
It makes sense to begin the fast on the evening of the 9th in order for the affliction of our souls to have already begun on the morning of the 10th. If we nourish our souls the evening of the 9th then no true affliction begins until well after the 10th has begun.
So what is the purpose of Yahuah demanding us to physically afflict our sours through a 24 hour fast? Surely He has something in mind other than a weight loss program. The humbling of our souls should spill over into our spiritual world as well as we take into consideration His set-apartness and our need for teshuvah (repentance).
Whenever we consider the Annual Moedim of Scripture we need to understand there is a story of redemption in play that will be fulfilled in our Messiah Yahusha. The Festivals of Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Shavuot have already been fulfilled in Messiah Yahusha. Fulfillment of the Festivals of Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot have yet to occur but may not be far off.
In the Spring Festivals of Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits Messiah Yahusha acted upon the behalf of ALL MANKIND. He became the Passover Lamb who redeemed ALL MANKIND, He became the Unleavened Bread through His sinless life, and He became the First Fruit of the Barley Harvest representing the WHOLE WORLD.
In the Summer Festival of Shavuot Messiah Yahusha became the First Fruit of the Wheat Harvest representing the ELECT of the WHOLE WORLD!
In the Fall Festivals of Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot Messiah Yahusha is seen taking His Bride as His Wife. On Yom Teruah He returns for His Bride. On Yom Kippur He consummates the marriage betrothal. And On Sukkot He takes His Bride as His Wife!
In Yom Kippur He consummates His betrothal to His Bride via judgement and there will be those who are not prepared for that judgement and will be divorced from Messiah Yahusha's marriage covenant on Yom Kippur. We get a glimpse of this in Ezekiel 20:33-38 and Matthew 7:21-23. We also see elements of it right here in Leviticus 23:29-30...

If a person is either ignorant of the true Scriptural Calendar or is too rebellious to keep the true Scriptural Calendar then it obviously stands to reason that they will be found guilty of either ignoring the heart of Yom Kippur and Messiah Yahusha or afflicting their souls on a wrong day and resting from work on a wrong day just as the Jews have been doing for millennia! The Calculated Rabbinic Calendar that the Jews have been following for over a thousand years is totally corrupt and the 'Postponement Rules' of the CRC are the 'smoking gun' of calendar corruption! Unfortunately, those who are beginning to see their way out of Sunday Christianity are then misdirected by their "HUGE ASSUMPTION" that the Jews are keeping the true 7th Day Sabbath, New Moons and Annual Moedim. I assure you... they are not!
In regard to Yom Kippur, an Annual Sabbath Yahuah says...
“If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ’a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,
then you shall delight yourself in יהוה. And I shall cause you to ride on the heights of the earth, and feed you with the inheritance of Ya‛aqoḇ your father. For the mouth of יהוה has spoken!” (Isaiah 58:13-14 The Scriptures 2009)
